Ever needed blinking or a flickering light in cinema 4d? This technique shows a very practical and easy way to create such effects.
In this example we add field driver to our area light’s intensity slider.
Next we need to click on Field Driver tag.
Click on the parameters tab.
Enter your minumum and maximum values.
Switch to Fields tab and add your desired Field. In this example we used Time effector.
Experiment with Shape (None (as Linear), Sine, Triangle, Sawtooth, Square)

Square
You can also add the field driver to color.
